Cornerstone is not showing my whole page to edit

I updated X and updated cornerstone. If I open the page, the top and bottom parts of my web page show in the window with a big “welcome to cornerstone” in the middle. The editing pane in the left acts like it is starting from a new page and that there is no content to edit yet.

Thanks for writing in! Are you using CloudFlare or may have installed a caching plugin like WordFence, W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? Please keep in mind that after doing every updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Thank you, WP Super Cache is installed, but caching has not been enabled so this should not be the problem.

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:

Set it as Secure Note

  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials

Hi,

Upon checking, I can see other pages are working fine with cornerstone.

It looks like you have edited your homepage outside cornerstone?

Please note that pages that are built in cornerstone can only be edited in cornerstone.

I made a simple change to a link outside of cornerstone because the site wasn’t loading into cornerstone and I wasn’t finding an answer here.

So, are you saying it is impossible to ever use cornerstone again with my website? Or is there a way to get it loaded in?

Hi There,

Not on your entire website but on the page only where you edited the content outside the Cornerstone builder. Unfortunately, the option is to rebuild the page again. On other pages, it should still work as expected. If there’s still an issue on other pages, please let us know which page it is so we can check again.

That is certainly disappointing. You should probably change the warning message that says that edits made here will not show up in Cornerstone, which just implies that this specific edit won’t show up and Cornerstone can still be used.
