Cornerstone is not letting me work

I am in the content page and cannot load any pages/demos. I keep getting this error:
The preview could not load. This is most often related to a plugin conflict or aggressive page cacheing. Checking the developer console for errors could indicate what went wrong.

I’m not sure where to go from here. And what to do to fix this. Please help.
Thank you

Hello Yael,

Please disable any caching plugin. If you are using CloudFlare, you may need to use the recommended settings which can be found here: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/8/

And if nothing works, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Thank you.

Hi,

I disabled all the plugins on the dashboard beside for cornerstone and it worked. Does that mean I can’t use any of them with x theme?

Thank you for the help!

Hi Yael,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue. Usually, most possible causes are due to caching or plugin conflicts as mentioned above by @RueNel. Also check your PHP version and memory limit. Could you please try following our general troubleshooting guidelines below and see if you can isolate the issue.

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. Go to X/Pro > Settings and click on the Clear Style Cache button.
  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  5. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the Theme Options or Child Theme and test the case.
  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

Make sure to clear full cache before testing (https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-clear-your-cache-in-wordpress/).

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and FTP credentials of your server using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Let us know how it goes.
Thank you.

Hi - this wasn’t my issue  but thanks for responding!

Hi
Thank you.
I’m a complete novice at this and all those directions were confusing. I’m going to keep all the plug-ins off and work on putting everything together. When I’m ready start putting in plug-ins I’ll let you all know if it works.
Thank you
Yael

Hi @Yael_Abramowitz,

Would you mind providing us login credentials in a Secure note so we can take a closer look.

Thanks,
