Cornerstone having trouble updating

Hello,

The Cornerstone plugin version 3.5.5 shows there is a new version available, 3.5.6. I have updated it a few times by clicking update now.

There are no error messages but it does not update and continues with the message that I should update.

Hi Meridith,

Thanks for writing in! It seems that you have forgotten to include your site URL. However, the latest version of X theme is v6.5.6 and the latest version of Cornerstone is v3.5.5 as you can see it on our changelog (https://theme.co/changelog/) as well as our version information guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195).

You can try re-installing X theme and Cornerstone plugin and see if you see such issue again.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

apologies…it’s…

Hello Meridith,

Thanks for updating in! I can confirm that this is a bug in the latest release of Cornerstone. It is referring to our upcoming update 3.5.6 which is not available yet. Please be advised that our latest stable version is X theme 6.5.6 and Cornerstone 3.5.5. You can check it here: https://theme.co/changelog/

Kindly ignore Cornerstone 3.5.6 at the moment because it is still under development. Our developers have been already informed about this bug.

Please bear with us.

oh alrighty, thank you!

You are most welcome!

So…just to continue bugging you guys. I’m not able to use cornerstone…it sort of just loads and loads and then times out. This continues even when I disable all other plugins…is there something I or my hosting can do about this? my credentials are in my initial complaint. thank you!

Hi @meridith,

This is the error once it goes blank

Error parsing header X-XSS-Protection: 1; mode=block, 1; mode=block: expected semicolon at character position 13. The default protections will be applied.

And this is the related issue, the first answer on that thread is true on your case because your site sends the header twice.

It’s a host-specific setting so I recommend contacting your hosting provider and have fixed it.

Thanks,

ok…i will contact them.

Great!
If you need anything else we can help you with, don’t hesitate to open another thread.

I have opened a ticket and am trying to work with my hosting company but they don’t seem to understand. Is there anything at all that I can do without their help?
I have not been able to make any updates to the site in a week so the client is becoming extremely frustrated.

Hello @Meridith,

Can you please provide us your FTP details in a secure note when you reply so that we can check your files?
To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Thank you in advance.
