Cornerstone goes to 404 page

After installing and validating xtheme and cornerstone, I get a 404 error page when attempting to access cornerstone. The message is as follows:

404: Page not found
This error is generated when there was no web page with the name you specified at the web site.

Troubleshooting suggestions:

Ensure the page you are linking to exists in the correct folder.

Check your file name for case sensitivity . Index.htm is not the same as index.htm!

Temporarily disable any rewrite rules by renaming your .htaccess file if it exists.

Hi There @oneksquared

Thanks for writing in! Could you please try re-generating your permalink settings by head over to Settings -> Permalinks area. Select the option postname and save changes to re-generate your .htaccess.

Also make sure that you’re using the latest version of X theme and Cornerstone plugin. You can check the latest version numbers from here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195).

Further you can disable your 3rd party plugins to see if you’re experiencing any conflicts with your other 3rd party plugins.

If you’re using a child theme, switch to your parent theme to see if there’s any conflicts with the customizations that you have added to your child theme.

If you’re still having issues, provide us with the WordPress login credentials in a secure note to investigate your issue further (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288).

Thanks!
