Cornerstone and wpml issue: translated page gets overridden with primary langauge page

We have an issue with cornerstone and wpml on our site. The problem is that while updating the primary language page in cornerstone, it overrides the secondary language page contents with primary langauge page. Our site has two languages: Swedish and English. We have for eg. created a page in Swedish and its translation page in English. The translated page (English) is set to “translate independently” and yet every time we make changes to the Swedish page, the English page gets overridden with Swedish version (If English would be set as primary language same thing would happen to Swedish page as well). Updating the pages using the wpml translation editor, however, works fine as does with normal wordpress editor. The issue is only with the “Cornerstone” editor. Our client prefers “Cornerstone” editor to “WPML” translation editor. So we would like to get issue resolved, if possible.

Not sure whether the issue lies with Cornerstone or wpml. We have posted a support ticket to wpml forum as well.

Wordpress version 5.2.2

Plugin versions:
Cornerstone 3.5.5
WPML Multilingual CMS 4.2.7.1
WPML String Translation 2.10.5.1
WPML Translation Management 2.8.6.2

Hi Patrik,

Yes, there’s a known issue with 4.2.7. Please try the following:

  1. Disable all cache feature and plugin, not permanent but while you’re fixing it then it should be inactive
  2. Downgrade to these versions
WPML Multilingual CMS - 4.2.6
WPML String Translation - 2.10.4
WPML Translation Management - 2.8.5
  1. If you wish to use Yoast SEO plugin then please downgrade your WPML to these, else, you can still use the above versions.
WPML Multilingual CMS - 4.0.6
WPML String Translation - 2.8.6
WPML Translation Management - 2.6.7

Let us know how this goes.
