Convert Plus Pop-up Modal Not Working

Hey guys,

I’ve checked the similar topics on this issue of pop-up modals not working. But none seem to resolve my problem.

Problem:
For my site, www.thecounterstory.com, The pop-up modal doesn’t show up when I (or anyone) clicks “Download Workbook” on the banner image (this same banner image + button is on multiple pages too. And none of their buttons work).
E.g. https://cl.ly/0770be293de0

I’ve already:
-tried on both chrome & firefox
-a friend from a different country tried to click the button from her computer. But still same problem.
-checked for plugin conflicts by de-activating everything except Convert Plus

And nothing has resolved the issue.

I’ve already set-up the class of “checklist_popup”:
In Pro: https://cl.ly/0c7f1b581a54
In Convert Plus (Modal name “Checklist-trigger”): https://cl.ly/726f4467ed5c

It seems like some issue with Convert Plus & hopefully it’s just glaringly simple and I can’t see it  .
But I can’t figure out what.

Can you guys help me out? Thanks!

Nathan

Hi There,

I couldn’t replicate this issue on my local installation.

Please follow up the steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. If you’re using a CDN(ex: CloudFlare), please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services. For the CloudFlare you also need to follow the steps below besides the developer mode: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/1
  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  4. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  5. Switch to the parent theme to check if the issue persists.
  6. Turn off all the cache plugins.

If you still have problems kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

Thank you.

Hi there:

I’ve tried all of the above (where applicable), and it’s still not working…

  1. All updated
  2. Not using Cloudfare
  3. Tested. No effect on problem.
  4. No effect with or without custom CSS
  5. Switched to Parent theme, and problem still persists (though Parent theme was also updated recently)
  6. All cache plugins are off

I’ve placed the WP login information via secure note (sorry I just copy-pasted the rest of the message there too, since I’m new to the “secure note” function"

I wonder what’s happening?

I appreciate your help. I hope it’s something really simple that I’m missing…Thanks!

Nathan

Hi Nathan,

You did not configure the Target Pages, turn on the Enable On Complete Site option if you want this modal throughout the web site.

Hope that helps,
Cheers!

!!! FACEPALM !!! OMG, I knew it must have been a simple and idiotic thing I missed lol.
I’m guessing something must have happened with the plugin updates, and I totally neglected to check all the activation sliders (“brain farts”) & missed that simple thing.

So sorry for taking up all your time, guys. I appreciate all your help. Everything works now.
Many thanks.

Looks like I’d better get a drink & “clear” my head… lol.

Nathan

You’re more than welcome, glad we could help.

Cheers!
