Controlling Post Carousel Display Location in Ethos Stack

Hi. I am trying to figure out how to control what pages the Post Carousel and Post Slider are displayed on using the Ethos stack.

On my site, I’d like to display the Post Carousel above the masthead on the home page and posts page only. I have created a static page for my home page titled home, and will be using the blog page for posts.

I would also like to display the Post Slider on my home page only, but not on the posts (blog) page.

Any help figuring this out would be appreciated. As a side note to this, if adding CSS is necessary, will I need to be using a child theme?

I found a possible answer here: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-remove-the-carousel-on-certain-posts-or-pages-in-the-ethos-theme/21444. I will try this and it will hopefully accomplish what I’m trying to do.
