Content changes / Footer disappears WPML

Hello

Ive been working on a multiple language site, using WPML, and i had been doing some work in my footer (non related to the translation) and long after i was done translating.

When i was done implementing my changes the footer disappeared from the english version of the site. It’s still on the (in this case) danish version and is fully functional.

Ive tried to save the danish footer as a template to copy it, unsuccessful. Ive tried to pull down locally and update the database, unsuccessful.

Ive noticed some of the translations of my pages has been deleted, so i figured i can’t only be due to my changes (since its header and danish footer works) perhaps a conflict somewhere.

Could you please help me solve this :slight_smile:
Kind regards

Hey @VillageVisuals,

Based on your description, it sounds like the English header got corrupted. Would you mind checking if the hotfix that was release previously applies to you. See https://theme.co/changelog/#theme-pro-2-4-7

If not, please do the following tests and note what solution works.

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you’re using a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then temporarily deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins.

  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  4. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

Only if none of the common solution works, give us WordPress Admin and FTP access so we could see the errors that are being generated when working with the English Footer.

Thanks.
