Conerstone not available

Hi Themeco-Team,

sorry to ask but my cornerstone plugin is not available.

Could you please check?!

THX P.

Hi there,

Are you using the latest version of X?

If so, Cornerstone should be automatically installed and enabled when you have X enabled.

Kindly try to login through FTP and go to wp-content/plugins then find the cornerstone directory there and delete it.

Once you deleted it, go back in to the admin section and Cornerstone should be installed.

In case the issue persists, please provide the admin and FTP details in a Secure Note so that we can check.

Thank you.

Deleting the folders did not help :sob:

Hi there,

The login details for the FTP manager does not seem to work. Kindly double check.

Also, please provide the URL of the site in question since you have several licenses in your account.

Thank you.

Sorry my mistake…

Hi There,

I have tried re-installing your Cornerstone plugin, re-installing X theme, disabled your plugins, re-generated your permalink settings, then checked your server configurations which seems to be alright (PHP v7.1.11, 256MiB memory).

I’m not sure if your database is corrupted or not. Since we cannot do more tests on your live site, is it possible to setup a staging server by following this guide (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-content-builder-migration/126), so that we can investigate this issue further.

Thanks!

I am sorry but I need further instruction what to do…

Hi There,

As I have mentioned above, is it possible to create a copy of your site in a sub-domain? You can follow the above guide and set it up. Then provide us with your WordPress and FTP credentials for that test site, so can investigate this issue further.

Also when checking your wp-config.php file through your web FTP, it did not allow to edit that file. Could you please try adding the following code into that file to enable your debug log.

define('WP_DEBUG', true);
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

You can add it before the following line:
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

Then once you browse your back-end and perform certain tasks, it will record any errors into dubug.log file which will be created under /wp-content/ folder. If there are any related errors, we should be able to identify from that log.

Thanks!

Hi I have somehow done the migration to http://themeco-test.doitnow-berlin.de/.

What now?

Hi there,

I installed X theme and Cornerstone is also automatically installed. Looks like your issue is related to your previous hosting provider.

Thanks!

Please excuse my naive question but what do I do now? Cornerstone works on the test-site but I can not return to the normal one??

THX

Hi there,

That’s not something I can confirm since your staging seems not an actual staging, the main domain redirects to that staging site, so it’s like the same site for me. I can’t check and compare the two. Try accessing your main site, and it will redirect :slight_smile:

Thanks!

Hmm in this support chat I was told to do this:
“I’m not sure if your database is corrupted or not. Since we cannot do more tests on your live site, is it possible to setup a staging server by following this guide (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-content-builder-migration/1261), so that we can investigate this issue further.” (see above)
I did this.

Now you managed to make Cornerstone work on the test-site but I can not return to the original domain.
I need a working X-Theme & Cornerstone installation on the original domain.

What do I need to do?

Sorry my questions but I really do know what to do now.

Hello There,

This issue have occurred because you haven’t properly migrated the staging site to the main site. To resolve this, we need to access your database of the main site. We have to change the Home URL and the WordPress Address URL so that your main site will not redirect to the staging site. Once we have your database access, we can change it right away for you.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Please provide us the link to your phpmyadmin so we can login.

You can also try adding the following code in wp-config.php

define('WP_HOME','http://doitnow-berlin.de');
define('WP_SITEURL','http://doitnow-berlin.de');

Thanks

Oh sorry:

Find phpmyadmin under “Datenbanken”.

Unfortunately I can not edit the wp-config.php…

Hi,

I went ahead and change it.

Kindly check in your end.

doitnow-berlin.de

Thanks

Not quite. Now I can enter the wordpress dashboard on doitnow-berlin.de but when I try “go to website” it is still the testsite. Also cornerstone is still not working. Please check again. THX

Hi,

Cornerstone was not enabled. I enabled it for pages,post and portfolio.

I then tried Cornerstone and it seems to work.
