Conerstone New Page - shows in preview but not on live site

Hi,

We updated the cornerstone plugin from 1.3.3 to 2.1.7. PHP version is 5.6.

Editing existing content seems fine. However, when creating a new post (basic page with title and text) with cornerstone, the preview page shows and saves fine (can also see the raw post content is showing cornerstone tags/content), but the live page is empty.

Have cleared/turned off caching to no avail. Please advise.

Please kindly follow the troubleshooting steps below and get back to us with the test results:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  4. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  5. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.
  6. Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.
  7. Follow the steps mentioned in the article below:

  1. Yes using latest version.
  2. CDN disabled.
  3. Have disabled and renabled all plugins and tested at each step. No change, as content is still not showing.
  4. Disabled child theme and attempted to edit existing post - changes were displaying in preview but in live nothing was displaying. Also tried to create a new post and same result.
  5. Renamed htaccess and saved changes in permalinks settings, made no difference to the preview or live pages after editing/saving again.
  6. Increased memory limit to 256MB
  7. No issues are shown in preview

Again, we tried editing a post that was created 5 months ago and the changes were reflected in live as well as preview, so its possibly only related to new posts/pages

Hi There,

Thank you for the credentials, your version of Cornerstone (2.1.7) and X Theme (4.6.4) is not compatible. That X Theme version is outdated, please update to the latest X version (5.2.5).

Updating Your Themes and Plugins

Remember to clear all caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
