Column alignment does not work

In a fresh new X installation, columns will not align horizontally; they always show up vertically on top of each other. And nothing happens if I click to change the number of columns. What can the reason be?

Hello Christian,

Thanks for writing in!

Are you using the latest version of X 7.0.2/Cornerstone 4.0.2 or Pro 3.0.2? If that is the case, please check out this video to get familiar with the row element and how you can set up your columns in different screen sizes.

Yes, I’ve seen the video, but the problem is that this nice new feature does not work. All columns are stacked on top of each other and are not aligned horisontal as clicked.

Hi Christian,

Have you tried to check if the issue was caused by a conflict with other plugins? You can do it by disabling other plugins and check if the issue is still there.

If the issue is not caused by a plugin conflict then please share a login credential in a secure note to your site, so that we can investigate further. Thanks!

Hi again Albrecht, and thank you for answering!

I have disabled all plugins except Cornerstone, but still all columns are stacked vertically and not as clicked.

Hey Christian,

Thank you for providing the credentials. I checked your setup and the reason this is happening is that you’ve updated the Cornerstone to the latest version but haven’t updated X to the newer version. To avoid the incompatibility issues and potential errors, always make sure to update both X and Cornerstone to the latest versions.

You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.

If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Let ys know how this goes!

Thank you!

You are most welcome!
