[Cloud9] Error installing Expanded Demo Content

Hi Theme.co Support Team,

I am having difficulties installing an Expanded Demo in my testing environment on Cloud9.

I have followed this KB: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-demo-content/56

Along with other fixes including: updating the php memory limits & ensuring folder accessibility.

The error message I am getting is: “Sorry, the demo failed to finish importing.” and occurs approximately 7-8 seconds after selecting the INSTALL button.

Thanks for writing in! Most probably, you’re experiencing a cURL timed out issue. Could you please try increasing your cURL timeout configuration and see if that helps.

In the meantime also make sure the following.

  • Please ensure your firewall is not blocking requests to theme.co.
  • Check and ensure allow_url_fopen is on
  • Make sure that you’re running at least PHP v5.6.x or later to avoid incompatibility issues with WordPress
  • Make sure OpenSSL support is enabled
