Changing the Category title on the Archive Pages

I would like to change the title on the archive pages to remove some of the verbiage and just have the Category title itself. For example instead of it saying "Category Archive: Below you’ll find a list of all posts that have been categorized as “Announcements,” I would like it to simply say "Announcements. Is there a way to do this?

Also, i have my page (www.stlawrenceparish.org) set up for masonry style for the archive pages, but the individual posts are lacking the date on which they were posted. Is there a way to add that under the excerpt or under the post title? Thanks!

Jon

Hi There,

This was posted in the wrong forum. If you are looking for support, all questions are to be posted in the Themeco category or by clicking + Support. The other categories are for discussion with fellow Apex members. I have moved your thread this time but keep that in mind in the future.

How support works.

Hi Jon,

You can change the category archive title in your WordPress dashboard, under “wp-admin > posts > categories”. On that page you’ll see “archive title”. Or you can edit an existing category to change an archive title as well. (https://monosnap.com/file/Hwnj7GxKbJ9Vp3EgU1JFxz8SoLu5lv#)

For the date on posts, I’ve checked and it appears you have the date showing already (https://monosnap.com/file/5mSSrkV8hLj4UtblDcamh3YljP8ip3#).

Thanks!

You took a screenshot of my homepage, not of the Category page, which isn’t showing the date. If you could take a look I’d appreciate it!

Hi There,

Sorry for the confusion, please navigate to Appearance > Customize > Blog and turn on the Post Meta

Cheers!
