Can't Load Demo Content

Hi, I have installed and validated X theme into wordpress twice now.

When I click on the down arrow under demo content, it shows Expanded Demos and Standard Demos, but I cannot click on either of them.

How do I correct this?

Also, when I click on any of the extensions, none of them install. It doesn’t do anything.

Please kindly follow the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  3. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  4. Follow the steps mentioned in the troubleshooting section of this article.

If you still experience the problem kindly get back to us with the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case.

It’s the same login as before, what we need is your site’s FTP login credentials. You may contact your hosting provider about your FTP details.

It looks like your site is unable to pull the data from our server, so please check if your host has active security that blocks the outgoing connection.

Hi there,

Your host security or firewall is blocking the connection, you should contact your hosting provider about this issue. I installed debug bar and remote requests plugin and this is the error

GET http://themeco-demo-content.s3.amazonaws.com/x/index.json Response: http_request_failed Error: cURL error 7: couldn't connect to host
Which I can verify with cURL result through FTP. And if you’ll access this URL http://themeco-demo-content.s3.amazonaws.com/x/index.json, it will load okay, but your site can’t access it.

Hi, I contacted my hosting provider and they told me that this has been corrected. It seems okay now.
