Can't get sidebars to show on Blog and blog posts

Hey guys,
When looking at the page when it is not set to the official blog page for my site it will show the sidebar, but as soon as I make it the posts page the sidebar disappears.

One more thing, the sidebar is taking up 37%. is there a setting somewhere to change this without changing the CSS?
the renew blog example is 20% http://demo.theme.co/renew-1/blog/

You have the option to make the changes from X > Theme Options > Layout and Design > Content width.
