It’s Amazon associates link builder that is causing the issue. If I deactivate it to use customiser I lose my Amazon affiliates links…

Is there any workaround?

Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. I’m getting no help from Amazon plugin support on Wordpress.

I really can’t remove this plugin as it controls all of my affiliate links.

Is there anyway a workaround can be recommended? I need to update pages via customise.

Hi,

Can you provide us your wordpress admin login in Secure Note so we can take a closer look.

For the mean time you can deactivate the plugin then do your changes in customizer. After that you can activate the plugin again.

  1. Please configure your site for HTTPS, you only installed Simple SSL plugin but your URLs aren’t configured for HTTPS. Please go to Admin > Settings > General and change your Site’s URL and Wordpress URL to https://www.twoscotsabroad.com (HTTPS)

  2. Install Better Search Replace plugin and replace this string http://www.twoscotsabroad.com/wp-content/ with this string https://www.twoscotsabroad.com/wp-content/ from all TABLES.

  3. Clear and purge your caches (including your cache plugin, CDN, and your browser’s cache).

Ok I’m not very technical so please forgive me!

  1. I’m not sure what plugins would be CDN related? WP Fastest Cache? WP-Optimize? I don’t have any aimed at CDN.

What is the URL for?

  1. SSL -I moved me to https back in Feb but I noticed there was an issue today. Was this resolved with unrelated action from host or do I still need to go to settings? Can I just manually change this, will it have impact elsewhere? My host says I need a plugin in to do this? I used this https://www.whynopadlock.com/check.php and looks as if my site is https?

  2. Could you let me know if stage 3 is still required (wondering if this is it do with https not working yesterday for whatever reason, first time since Feb).

Hello There,

Since you can’t figure out which of your plugins is using CDN,you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

I’ve deactivated plugins - Black Studio TinyMCE Widget seems to be an issue. I can open Customise when it is deactivated and Amazon links are all correct.

I was using Black Studio TinyMCE Widget to create sections in my footer, do you know an alternative that may not conflict?

Regretfully we can’t recommend a third party plugin but you can search for it via https://wordpress.org/plugins/ if you need to customize footer or header then you should consider switching to PRO which includes Header and Footer builders to create completely custom headers and footers. please see https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/pro-header-and-footer-builder-introduction/103
