Can't Edit Footer

Hey,

I’m trying to create my footer and when I press footer it loads the page then skips and loads the home page. Which duplicates the horizontal bar on the left. What do I do? (yes my wordpress and plugins are up to date)

Also, some of the time I get this message, “A conflict on the front end of your site has prevented the preview from loading.”

Now the same thing is happening when I try to use my header editor.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! You may check out our knowledge base regarding this common builder error messages. Please find it here:

If nothing is helping, please provide us access to your site so that we can take a closer look.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank you for the quick response. I did find this message but I am still unsure what to do. What info do you need to access my site?

Hey There,

To do this, you can create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

Thank you.

How do I create a secure note?

Hey There,

Please review our knowledge base article first to know more how you can get support:

Thanks.

Hi There,

First of all, please do not post your sensitive information like login credentials directly, without using our secure note option.

Upon checking your site, I see that you’re using an older version of Pro theme. Please update your theme and testing your issues again. Make sure to purge your server cache and clear your browser cache before testing.

You can check the latest version numbers from here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195) and the update guide from here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62).

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Cool. I tried to do the secure. I guess I did it wrong. I tried to delete it and I’m not certain it worked. Is it still visible?

I see now that it is secure. Do I download the newest version from my apex dashboard and upload into my wordpress account? or will it update a different way?

Hi there,

You can simply go to Dashboard > Updates then scroll down to the theme’s area and you can update Pro from there.

Let us know how it goes.

WIll I need to contact bluehost to purge my server cache?

Now the same problem is happening when I try to edit the site. What do I do?

Hi There,

Please contact Bluehost to flush your website server cache also re-install PRO.

Please access your site via FTP and remove PRO from Wp-Content/Themes

Download the latest version via Apex Dashboard : https://theme.co/apex/dashboard

And Re-install it.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks!

I had Bluehost flush the cache. I’ve cleared my cache. I am getting all sorts of errors now. I can’t find how to delete pro from wordpress. How do I access site via ftp? I’m sorry guys I’m out of my depth. I really want to learn.

Hello @steve,

I am sharing few resources that will help you to access website via FTP:

Basics of FTP in context of WordPress: http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-use-ftp-to-upload-files-to-wordpress-for-beginners/

Next two links I am sharing have dedicated section to install Theme via FTP.

Problem is the same, no change. I am unable to edit header, content, and footer. Here is the newest error message.

The preview was unresponsive after loading. This is most often related to a plugin conflict or aggressive page cacheing.

I recently added the woocommerce plug-in. could that have anything to do with it?

I deactivated woocommerce and it’s working. Does that mean I cannot use woocommerce with this theme? If not what would you recommend?
