Cannot load Cornerstone Edit page

Hi there,

I’m unable to edit any pages with Cornerstone. This was not a problem until I updated the Cornerstone Plug In today.

It begins to load the edit page, but then gets stuck with the Cornerstone symbol (see image below) in the centre of the page.

Any suggestions?

Hi colman75,

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  3. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options and/or Child Theme and test the case.
  4. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  5. Increase the PHP Memory Limit of your server. Click here for more detailed information and how to increase the PHP memory limit.

kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case if you still have problems.

Thank you.

Hey Christopher, thanks for the help. It looks as though the problem is resolved for now. I deactivated all of my plug-ins, and then it loaded up fine. I then reactivated them 1 by 1. Looks like it may have been a WP Cache plug in that was causing the issue.

Thanks again!

Hi,
Just in case this might help someone… I have been struggling with cornerstone 6.1.3 not loading for a couple of days and I was able to correct it on a staging site and a production site by upgrading to the latest version of WordPress and re-validating X. None of the other advice got it to work and I tried everything I could find on the forum.
Hope this helps : )

Hi @mk_design,

Thank you for suggesting that solution. I also want to add that it is now important that everyone update the theme to version 6.1.5 and Cornerstone to version 3.1.5.

Thank you all.

Hi all

I had the exact same issue as Colman75.
My issue was resolved by deactivating the plugin Autoptimize.

Hi @Dyrehauge,

Happy to hear that.

Feel free to ask us again.

Thanks.
