I have searched and tried to fix based on what I was reading but my shop page will not display a sidebar with Product categories. Thought I found a post that would help but it no longer exists or is private.

You must use a layout with sidebar in X > Launch > Options > Layout and Design > Content Layout. Then, in Options > WooCommerce > Shop Layout, use Global Content Layout. If you’re using Custom Sidebars, ensure you have setup your widgets in your sidebar.
