Cannot change Cornerstone Text

Hi all!

I updated my Cornerstone today and for some reason the text edit isn’t working. Website: www.vaingloryleague.com - I’ve posted a video of the issue here.
I’m looking forward to any help which solves the issue - hopefully just a small twist :slight_smile:

Hi @Biggelino,

Thanks for writing in.

Please try to reinstall your X theme and cornerstone then don’t forget to clear site and browser cache. If still not working, It would be best that you will share us your admin credentials so we could check your setup closer.

Don’t forget to set it in a secure note.

Thanks.

Thanks for the swift response @nico!

Quick question: If I uninstall the X theme and cornerstone, clear browser and site cache and then reinstall everything . - will I lose the main site / content created / added via Cornerstone which I am showing in the video?
I just would like to avoid some re-work since the website is currently being visited by the community. Otherwise I’ll wait till the tournament is over with all the reinstall?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hey @Biggelino,

No, but it would be best you have a backup of your site.

The issue looks like it’s caused by a slow server or possibly caused by caching. Please try the following basic solutions first.

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. If you have a caching plugin, clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

  7. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

Thanks.
