Can`t see some sites in cornerstone

Hello there,
I´ve been hacked few weeks ago…so I have cleared complete server, switch to SSL and install a backup-archive.
After updating all relevant plugins and themes I know could only work with some pages of my site
e.g. I could not do anything on the starting page.
If I try to edit with cornerstone I only see header and footer - but no content at all. So it is for few other pages
I`ve tried several troubleshootings from this forum (adding some lines in the wp-config, turn on and off all of the plugins etc) but the issue persists.
Any suggestions?
For I am not a pro I am thankful for every help!!
Cheers
Olaf

Hi Olaf,

Thanks for writing in! Can you please check with the following first.

  1. Check your WordPress core version and make sure that you’re fully updated. You can check the latest version number from here (https://wordpress.org/download/) and compare it with your current version by head over to your WordPress dashboard and update if necessary (https://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress).
  2. Make sure that you’re using the latest version of X theme, Cornerstone plugin and other X compatible versions of plugins by following our guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195). You can follow our update guide here (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62).
  3. Check your current server configurations by installing this plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-serverinfo/). Once you install the plugin, you can head over to Dashboard -> WP-Serverinfo area to check your data.
-We recommend PHP v5.6.x or above.
-PHP memory limit of 512MiB. You can refer to our memory update guide here.
-PHP max execution time of 120 or higher. Refer this resource on how to increase.

With this basic information, you should be able to setup your X theme correctly.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Done…all is in secure note above

Hey Olaf,

The Cornerstone data is empty that is why you see a blank page when you open up Cornerstone. The most probable cause of this is incomplete backup. Your backup might not have included the postmeta WordPress database table where all Cornerstone builder serialized data resides. In this case, regretfully, you would need to rebuild your pages.

Thanks.

Thanx for your soon reply.
Is there any chance to re-try the backup via ftp?

Witch files are these?
or can I try another backup? I`ve got different
Thanks

Hi @Wurtele,

Since the issue is originating from the existing backup then it will be just the same. I recommend getting another and fresh backup from the site. You could try All in one migration plugin and download your site as a single file (as backup), then just import that single file to the destination site using the same plugin and let it do the rest.

Please check this about the plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yat8HfpY1eM

And those serialized data are something you shouldn’t or can’t edit since they are automatically generated. You can’t restore it just by FTP, the data should be migrated safely with special tools. Which is why I recommend the above plugin since it will do it automatically.

Thanks!

Hello everyone,
I have solved the problem.
Here is what I have done:
I restored an very old backup (as I mentioned before) cause I had nothing left to loose and everything was fine…
then I have restored a newer backup of the database so my work, to get the site up-to-date, wasn`t so much.
And I have found out, what the problem was:
The “Velvet Blues Update URLs” plugin!!
Due I had switched to SSL before I had used that tool to get the internal links changed.
And this tool destroyed the whole site-structure!
Now everything is running.
Thanx to all for your help and time spent on this issue.
Cheers
Olaf

Glad to know!

Thanks
