Blank Visual Composer Editor

I recently installed a plugin called Duplicate Post. I duplicated a page, which left the original page intact and created an identical draft. However, I can no longer use Visual Composer to edit the original page. When I launch VC editor it just loads a blank white page. No error in the console. I’ve tried deactivating the plugin, deleting the duplicate, nothing seems to fix it.

Two interesting behaviors:

  1. The draft works okay (but I need to edit the original page to keep its url intact).
  2. If I load the VC editor for the original page over http instead of https, it attempts to load the editor, showing the blue bar at the top and the loading icon in the center, but I get a cross-origin error preventing it from completing the load.

Here’s the info. And the specific page is Testimonials

Hi There,

We cannot support 3rd party plugins, but if you want to clone a Visual Composer page you dont need a duplicating plugin. You can simply edit the post as a text, copy the code and paste in the new page after that you can change to the visual composer classic editor and you will be able to edit without issues.

Hope it helps

I don’t need help with the Duplicate Post plugin. I just need to know why the original Testimonials page will no longer load in Visual Composer.

Hi There,

Thanks for clarifying.

Please check the provided username.

Make sure you have created the user, we are getting ERROR: Invalid username.

Thank you

Sorry about that. info updated.

Visual Composer is working fine in your live Testimonial page.

Please clear all caches including browser cache then check again.

Thanks.

Thanks for looking into this. I should’ve clarified, it’s the front end editor that’s not working: https://www.syntorial.com/wp-admin/post.php?vc_action=vc_inline&post_id=223&post_type=page

And I’ve already tried clearing the caches.

I see. The Front-end editor of Visual Composer works for native VC elements. Regretfully, we do not have in depth support for it. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/extension-visual-composer/76 for more details. If you wish to continue using it, you need to disable X VC Integration under the Visual Composer admin menu so you could use Visual Composer natively (please note though that you won’t be able to use X VC elements) and buy a separate Visual Composer license to get support for front-end editor issues.

Thank you for understanding.

Will do. Thanks for the help.

Thank you for your understanding!
