Background demo video beneath masthead

Hi Guys,

Something strange happenend. When I started working on customizing the gym demo template at your demo domain I used revolution Slider to create the video slider. When done the slider was working nicely at the demo domain.

Since we switched from demo domain to my own domain the video slider does not show. Only the background picture and the content is visable.

Now I asked my hoster to check SSl, which they did and asked revolution slider about this issue and this was their response:
Many thanks for taking your time to reach out to bluehost team. The SSL seems to be configured correctly now. However, on your homepage, the video is still not working which perhaps is happening because of some content included in the page that is being loaded over insecure URL or interfering with the video.

I created a test page with same page template as your homepage (http://prntscr.com/lnfl63) and included the slider via page options, same as your homepage (http://prntscr.com/lnfl88), and the video seems to be working fine here,

Kindly have a look,

Now as they made it work using a black page instead of using a predefined template I was wondering if it’s possibe to still use the gym demo template and have the slider working properly as it should be. Like I said it worked at your demo domain and now it’s not.

Hope you can help me out here as I already contacted evrybody in my pipeline to help me out without a real solution.

Best
Ivo

Hi There,

I checked the console log and saw this message:

Cross-Origin Read Blocking (CORB) blocked cross-origin response https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yMqE5vOAH8 with MIME type text/html. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5629709824032768 for more details.

Please take a look at this for more information: https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5629709824032768.

It also might be the caching issue. Please follow up the steps below:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. Go to X > Settings and click on the Clear Style Cache button.
  3. If you’re using a CDN(ex: CloudFlare), please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services. For the CloudFlare you also need to follow the steps below besides the developer mode: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/1
  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  5. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  6. Switch to the parent theme to check if the issue persists.
  7. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to **Settings > 1. Turn off all the cache plugins.

Let us know how it goes!
