Authoring Posts in Cornerstone

Hi there,

I have been authoring/publishing blog posts in Cornerstone.

However, there is no post “Comments” area for the blog post when authoring/publishing posts created in Cornerstone.

Is there some easy/elegant way around this?..in other words, to somehow place a Comments area at the foot of a Cornerstone-created blog post?

Please advise,

Thanks and kind regards,

Dale

Hi Dale,

Do you mean just for admin comments? Unfortunately, this is not available by default. Now, if you’re referring to just comments function for admin, try to use ACF PRO.

Or are you referring to default comments system available for wordpress? This is available by enabling on Settings > Discussion.

Hope this helps.

Hi Lely,

Thanks for your reply.

I am referring to default comments system, not the comments function for admins.

Please see this Post, created in Cornerstone…on the frontend there is no comments function available to site visitors:

I have attached the Discussion Settings so you can see they are set to accept comments.

I tried this setup in my test site and the comments section shows up in a Cornerstone built post content.

Please check for the following:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

If nothing helps, please give us WP admin and FTP credentials in a Secure Note.

Thanks.

Ok, I have attached a Secure Note containing login credentials.

Would appreciate if someone could have a look and let me know what might be causing the Post Comments areas to disappear from my Cornerstone created Posts.

Thanks,

Dale

Nevermind,

I figured it out…thanks anyway.
