Anchor link not jumping to right position

Hi Support Heroes.

I’m referring to my previous thread https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/anchor-link-scrolls-too-far-with-ubermenu/45772

and the solution I’ve implemented with the jQuery code from this thread https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/anchor-link-not-landing-location-cut-off-by-nav-bar/41944/8

After a few latest updates it seems the problem is back. I’ve not deleted or changed anything to the code.

Help!

Hey @corsaunelec,

Looks like the effect is doubled. Please remove the jQuery code you’ve copied from the other thread because X has its own feature offsetting the Fixed Navbar when a jump link was clicked.

Actually I’ve tried. Removed the code and it doesn’t cure. It’s after those updates after wp 5.0 everything begins to fall apart.

Again, I’d like to reiterate the problem begins after I started using Uber Menu. Which is why I installed the jQuery code and it works until now.

I’ve copied your post to my local installation but couldn’t replicate the issue. You can see at the screenshots, it scrolled correctly to the titles:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list here. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. Click here for more information.
  2. If you’re using a CDN(ex: CloudFlare), please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services. For the CloudFlare you also need to follow the steps below besides the developer mode: https://xthemetips.com/using-cloudflare-rocket-loader-with-x-pro-and-x5/928/1
  3. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  4. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  5. Switch to the parent theme to check if the issue persists.
  6. Turn off all the cache plugins.

It seems the problem is on and off. It works then it went stray and worked again I’ll try with other browsers and see if the problem is the same.
