Adding Standard Banners

How do I add a standard full width static banner above the first section and siderbar for my service pages? Each banner will be unique per service page. Also what is the recommended dimensions for a full width banner inside cornerstone/X theme? I know I must be missing something and I don’t want to use rev slider on every page. Please help.

Revolution slider plugin will make it very easy to add banner image. I suggest you to check out following article:

Regarding dimension of images, it depends of the width of website. But in my view with of 1080px and proportionate height should work fine.
