Adding any new post / page turns up blank

I’ve tried to add a new post or page. But the page turns up blank after I’ve published it. However when I edit with Cornerstone, I can see the content inside. Just not on the published page.

Is there any solution for this?

Hey there,

Please check for the following first:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.

  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.

  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.

  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi there,

I’ve tried all 5 items, but the page still isn’t showing.

Hi there,

In that case, would you mind providing your site’s URL and admin login credentials in a secure note. I like to test it too

Thanks!

Hi Rad, thanks and hope you can help.

Hi,

Can you provide us your login url as well.

wp-admin or wp-login.php doesn’t seem to work.

Thanks

Hi, I had a security plugin turned on.

Hi again,

I deleted your cache and deactivated the cache plugin then created a new page with test content and it’s displaying just fine please see https://aikidoshinjukai.com/test-page/ (you can remove the page)

Cheers!

Hi Nabeel,

I can see the test page. However the page that I am working on still does not turn up. Would you be able to help take a look at that particular page? I’m not sure why it cannot be seen even though the steps taken are the same.

Will you be able to provide instructions on how to delete my cache? I’ve previously removed the optimisation and cache plugins but the site looks the same.

Hi again,

There is an issue with the slider you’re using in your page. There are invalid characters (emoji) that are breaking the flex slider. I created a new page by importing the page’s template and removed the slider, the content started to show up on the front-end see https://aikidoshinjukai.com/page-test/ now just remove the invalid characters from your slides to fix the issue.

Cheers!

Hi Nabeel,

It works! Thanks for helping to figure out the issue.

Note: I’ve tried the Flexbox without the emoji but it didn’t show any text still. I’ve ended up with a different way to displaying the info instead of using Flexbox.

Glad you’ve sorted it out.

Cheers!
