Add Section To Footer

Hello, I’m trying to add an extra section to the footer, so in effect creating a separate area as well as “x-colophon top” and “x-colophon bottom”. I want a complete new section in between those. I’m working with a child theme currently, could you point me in the direction of the file(s) that need amending in order to do this please?

Sure, the files that you can customize are \framework\legacy\cranium\footers\views\{YOUR ACTIVE STACK}\wp-footer.php and \framework\legacy\cranium\footers\views\global\_footer-widget-areas.php. You don’t have to edit them both, just choose one depending on the position of your code. Just make sure that file is copied from parent theme to child theme before editing.
