Active Background not showing

Hi,
I have 2 pages in the top navigation that don’t display the blue background when on the page.
http://askshell.co.uk/for-sale/ & http://askshell.co.uk/lettings/

Your advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tony

Hello Tony,

Thanks for writing in!

I have check your other page like http://askshell.co.uk/contact-us/ and it displays. I guess you must have added a different menu item because at the moment, letting and for sale page is an archive page. You might need to add the menu archive menu item and not the normal for sale and letting page you have created.

Would you mind providing us access to your site so that we can take a closer look? You can create a secure note and add your log in details. To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Hi
Did you receive message yesterday?

Hi @tonylees,

As Ruenel mentioned, they are archive pages. The menu item is added as page but the loaded page is an archive, which means, the condition current menu item isn’t met.

I recommend contacting the plugin author to see if they can implement a menu item for their archive pages. Example, let’s say Woocommerce

They implement their own menu item for their own reserved pages. Since your Property Hive plugin uses post type and its own archive pages, then they should implement a menu item the same way. This isn’t related to the theme since it’s Wordpress that matches if the menu item and the current page are equal.

Thanks!
