Accordion Item Not Closing

Hello,

First off, I have searched the site and my Accordion issue appears different from others (i.e. not a caching issue, etc).

We recently inherited a site that is using X with WP Bakery plugin integration. The Accordion items remains open initially when one lands on the page, and while one can click on the downwards/upwards pointing arrow and the color of the Accordion changes, the accordian does not close. This can be seen here at http://manufacturing.uci.edu/index.php/research/ (see attached screen shot) as well as the many other pages on the site that use the Accordion.

I believe this is a “classic” Accordian, but am not sure. There is no cacheing of this site, so it is not a caching issue (WP Super Cache is and has always been disabled). I have checked most plugins and disabled them one by one, but it does not seem to be this either.

We contacted WP Bakery’s support, and they’ve asked us to speak to X support, as it appears the “x-accordion” element is what renders on the page.

The original designer of this site left the organization a few years ago, and we are unable to speak to him. We emailed info@theme.co earlier today and were told to purchase the license to X again (as the designer did not leave this info with us before leaving years ago), and we did that today in hopes of obtaining some proper help from the experts. Thank you.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Upon inspection, I found out that you have updated Cornerstone to the latest version yet you haven’t updated the X theme. You are still using version 4.6.4. Please be advised that the latest version of Cornerstone which is 3.2.5 will only properly work if you update X theme to version 6.2.5. It is now available in automatic updates! This release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (https://theme.co/changelog/). Please do update to the latest version. After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Upon trying to update the theme, I get this error:

Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.

What do you suggest to fix this update error? Thanks.
