Accordion Edges Change to square/corners

Hi,

I have added an accordion to my page. It is appearing with rounded edges. I can changed the content area to have straight/corner edges using the advanced tools int the items border radius as this was set to 0.35 em. I changed this to 0 so the item box has straight edges, but my header box is in a different colour and the header border radius is set at 0 already, and is still curved. So I can see white straight corners under my header which is curved. I did a support search and put in some CSS code but this only changed the item/content box shape (I hadn’t changed the value at the Radius value at the time) and the header stayed the same. Here is a screen shot of what I mean - you can see the tips of the white corners under the blue rounded headers.

Thanks

Hi,

To remove the radius, add a unique class to your accordion element.

Then add this in Theme Options > CSS

.my-acc .x-acc-item {
    border:0;
}

Hope that helps

Hi, I think I am trying to ask the editor to do things too quickly or need to regularly refresh or purge the cache as I logged out and then latter went to edit, having left the accordion as is in the photo, to find it to be square/corner shaped???

Thanks for the code though.

Hi Samantha,

Thanks for updating the thread!

Please ignore the CSS solution given by @paul.r! There is an accordion setting to remove the rounded corner.
All you have to do is make the border-radius value to Zero.

Hope this helps!

As you mentioned above that your CSS is not saving in the customizer. That might be another issue. To fix it please check the following.

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/troubleshooting-version-compatibility/195. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/setup-updating-your-themes-and-plugins/62 for more details.
  2. Clear all caches including browser cache then deactivate your caching plugins and other optimization plugins.
  3. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  4. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  5. Remove custom CSS, Javascript and templates.
  6. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.
  7. Contact your host to increase your allocated memory or do it yourself by adding this code in your wp-config.php
    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
    In case the issue persists, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:
    Set it as Secure Note
  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials
    All the best!
