Hi all,

I’ve seen icons at http://theme.co/x/demo/icon/1/shortcodes/icons/; however, it seems it’s not complete list of available icons. When I add new icon, dropdown contains list of shortcodes with items not listed at the demo page (one example – code ‘qq’). Can you please advise where I can see complete icon-to-shortcode map?

Another related question: how can I add my own icon to the list to be able to use it? One of my computer-savvy friends told me that those icons are coming from ‘font awesome’. Can I somehow add another symbols to that font and update list of associated shortcodes?

Regards,
VB

Hey there,

Yes. Font Awesome is included in X. See the complete list of icons at http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/ (version 4.3.0 is not included yet). To use an icon that is not listed in our icons list, simply put the icon name in the type attribute like

[icon type="futbol-o"]

We currently could not add the complete list to X as it is too many.

Hope that helps. 🙂

Hi again,

I can use your suggestion only if I insert raw HTML.. Is any way to use it in icon list using your UI? You suggested “To use an icon that is not listed in our icons list, simply put the icon name in the type attribute”.. where I can find that attribute in icon list or icon list item? There is only dropdown control with pre-defined list of types, and I cannot enter there new type.

VB

Hi there,

If you wish to create your own icon, the you will have to create something like font-awesome, it’s actually a font and not images. Then install your font through css on X theme. Unfortunately, we don’t cover full tutorial for this. We only covers bug fixes and small tweaking. Though you can always ask custom developers for help 🙂

You can find one of our trusted partners here https://theme.co/x/member/custom-development/

If you need to find out more about icon list, then please check this. https://theme.co/x/member/kb/shortcode-walkthrough-icon-list/ and some sample here http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/icon-list/

[icon_list_item type="arrow-right"]

If you’re referring to visual composer, yes it’s a dropdown. And those are the only available icons that you can choose. You can’t add one, or remove one.

Thanks.
