Hi there,
my wordpress admin page is telling me to update my visual composer from v 4.1.3 to 4.4.2.

I am confused as to weather or not to update. As far as I’ve read, the update available should be 4.3.5?

I have updated to the latest version of x and shortcodes.

Please help.
thanks in advanced 🙂

Hi there,

Thank you for writing in! Yes, visual composer v4.3.5 is the latest version bundle with X. The js_composer.zip file for visual composer can be found within the theme download package. Take a look in x/framework/plugins you can install these via the WordPress plugin uploader or ftp if needed.

Hope it helps, Cheers!

Hello I am having this same issue. I have tried to upload the js_composer.zip file as instructed but it keeps failing saying that it is already present. If this is the case, why is it not updating from v4.1.3 to v4.3.5 as you said it should. It keeps directing to a page where I am prompted to purchase the update.

Hi there,

Could you please update the plugin manually for once. In the main X Theme folder that you downloaded from Theme Forest, you can locate the “js-composer.zip” file under (“X/framework/plugins/”). Then unzip the plugin file and use a FTP connection to upload and over write existing js_composer folder in “ROOT/wp-content/plugins/.

Thanks.
