I have a few questions.

1. Can I use this theme after purchasing it once on multiple domains that are not being sold or transferred, just my own domains? I’m not sure how the licensing works for a user like me. I have a few domains and you guys earned me wanting to only use X for the rest of my wordpress life.

2. If answer to the last question is “no you have to buy again for each site” then can I just pay you guys through Themeforest for the theme again and not have to download it again but just use the one I have saved on my CPU?

Thank you 🙂

It appears that Envato just updated their license terms and descriptions. Still didn’t find the answer to my specific question, so I will defer to the great guys at X Theme!

As mentioned in another thread, I’m about to complete a project for a church. They bought a copy of the theme for themselves using their own credentials.

In this project the church has multiple sites. So in the scope of the project, I’ve divy’ed up the sites into separate WP installs all under the same domain; IE:

http://www.churchname.com
http://www.churchname.com/site1
http://www.churchname.com/site2
http://www.churchname.com/site3
http://www.churchname.com/site4

It’s a total of five installs, yet under the same ‘domain’. Would this be considered ‘one product’ or because of the technical limitations I was working under, would it be considered five separate products.

When the site goes live, we want to be sure all licensing is in order.

Thanks for your insight!

Brian

Hi Brian,

You will only need extended license if you’re going to use it as commercial, like if you’re going to use x for a sub domain/space that you’re about to sell or lease as package, or something like that.

You’re fine to use regular license in multiple install on same domain.

Thank You.

Hi there,

Is one regular license fine for a “multiple install/same domain” setup, if subdomains are used instead of subdirectories?

That is, do I need to buy one license per subdomain for the following setup:

http://domain.com
http://news.domain.com
http://support.domain.com
a.s.o.

Neither of the sites are commercial, each has its distinct WP install, not a multisite WP install. So I am not envisioning a subsite.wordpress.com type of setup. It is just a number of subdomains of the same domain each having its own WP install working with distinct X theme installs under one regular license.

Regards,

Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,

A license is only entitled for one domain only, and automatic update is only possible to one installation. As for sub installations, as long as they are just the same or promote the same site then regular license is okay.

Cheers!

Hey Sanchit,

Before purchasing a theme in Themeforest, the License Details is available for reading (see http://prntscr.com/7bdm1r). Additionally, we ask that the tone be kept courteous and professional (with a little fun on the side). If posts are made outside this realm, we reserve the right to remove them and in certain cases, the user account as well.

Thank you for understanding.

Hi @pogromcanudy

Thanks for writing in! You can revoke the API Key for the current domain (pogromcanudy.pl) and generate again for the new one (niedzwiedziembyć.pl) from your Themeco account.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
