Hi, my site is http://www.5starsignals.com

The issue here is that X-Theme (and another one of my plugins) is calling/pulling fonts from Google through http:// instead of https:// and I’m not sure how to fix this in order to make the SSL in my site completely secure.

I found this link that seems similar to my issue but I’m still not entirely sure what to do to fix this. Please help.

https://theme.co/x/member/forums/topic/ssl-error-some-parts-are-not-loaded-with-https/

Thanks

Hi Emily,

X theme doesn’t set a protocol explicitly. This is to allow for the font to be loaded relatively in either http or https. e.g this is the font used by X theme in your site:

<link rel="stylesheet" id="insta-fonts-css" href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Allura%7CArchitects+Daughter%7CArvo%7CBoogaloo%7CBowlby+One%7CCabin%7CCodystar%7CCovered+By+Your+Grace%7CDancing+Script%7CDroid+Sans%7CDroid+Serif%7CExo%7CEwert%7CFlavors%7CFinger+Paint%7CGloria+Hallelujah%7CJacques+Francois+Shadow%7CKaushan+Script%7CLobster%7CMonofett%7CMountains+of+Christmas%7CNova+Mono%7COpen+Sans%7COpen+Sans+Condensed%7CPT+Sans%7CPT+Serif%7CRock+Salt%7CSansita+One%7CSirin+Stencil%7CSpecial+Elite%7CUbuntu%7CVT323%7CVollkorn&ver=4.1" type="text/css" media="all">

As you can see it is already using https. The problem could be due to any third party plugin. You can check this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how this goes!
