Is there an optimal picture size for the revolution slider? I currently have some pictures that might be a little small in the slider and then a couple that are cut off. I use ‘Auto responsive’ in the settings.. I know how to make the slider wider or higher to accommodate some of the pictures, however I do not want my slider taking up the whole page. I was just thinking maybe there is an optimal size that I can re-size my pictures to. I couldn’t find anything in the forum about this.

Thank you!

Hey Jimmy,

I recommend using 16:9 because most devices are in HD dimension and at least 1280 x 720 px size image.

Hope that helps. 🙂

I’m still having trouble getting the pictures to the right size for the slider..

I have cropped everything down to 16:9 and still am having issues..
Is there a certain size that would be best for the size slider I am looking for? (Something like width 950 by height 450) (also in the picture below)

Even in the larger settings for the slider (1170 x 750) I still cant get the whole picture in there..

please see the pictures attached.

Hi Jimmy,

Could you provide a login for this? I like to check your slider settings.

For the mean time, could you check if you’re using auto-responsive setting and “Unlimited Height” is on?

Thank you.

I don’t know how to get you into my WordPress as it is self hosted on this computer..

Here are the pics of the settings for RevSlider and for the picture itself.

I did have auto responsive on, but did not have unlimited height on. Once I turn unlimited height on, it solved the problem of cutting the picture off, but also makes the RevSlider larger which is what I don’t want to do.
I’m trying to get the full picture in the RevSlider for a small banner on the webpage.

Hey Jimmy,

In that case, please reduce the height of your images and set your grid setting to your images’ height because we need to take into account the height of the Navbar. Let’s say the resolution of your monitor is 1366 x 768px. The math would be 768 less your Navbar height (90px for example) equals 678. Now, your current image height is 720 less the space left for the slider which is 678 is 42px. Therefore, your image is cutoff by 42px. With that said, you need to have an image with a height of 678 or less while maintaining the width of 1280px (see aspect ratio http://prntscr.com/3nbgxn).

Hope that helps. 🙂
