Hi!

Thank you for using the theme!

Those are icon shortcodes inserted before the menu item label. Go to Appearance > Menu then create a custom link. Add the icons shortcode that looks like this for example:

[icon type="camera-retro"]

The camera-retro is one of the type of icon that you can use. Look for different type of icons on the Icon List element > Icon List Item > Type.

Shortcode Walkthrough: [icon_list]

I hope this helps.

It isn’t working. In my menu item I tried my home url then for Navigation label i put [icon type=”camera-retro”] Home

Any reason why this wouldn’t work? Seemed simple enough but no luck. Thanks.

Hi Chris,

You could also use html version of it (eg. class=”x-icon-TYPE” )

Home

Hope this helps.

None of these worked for me. If I use the shortcode then it just displays the shortcode code before the name like: [icon type=”camera-retro”] Home. if I use the html version then it doesn’t display anything but the title.

Hi Jimmy,

That was weird, as it works on my test installation. Could you provide us your site url? Better if we can check it. And also, a screenshot of your menu section in admin.

Thank You.

Hi Jimmy,

As mentioned above, you could use html on menu captions.

Example:
Home

Shortcode [icon type=”home”] will be evaluated into that, so you can use html version too.

Hope this helps.
