Those are icon shortcodes inserted before the menu item label. Go to Appearance > Menu then create a custom link. Add the icons shortcode that looks like this for example:

[icon type="camera-retro"]

The camera-retro is one of the type of icon that you can use. Look for different type of icons on the Icon List element > Icon List Item > Type.

As mentioned above, you could use html on menu captions.

Example:
<i class=”x-icon-home” ></i>Home

Shortcode [icon type=”home”] will be evaluated into that, so you can use html version too.
