Megamenu – "line breaks" appearing when not required.

I have trawled through the forum but can’t find anyone with a similar problem.

If you visit my web site – http://www.bizsave.com.au – and hover over the Benefits navigation button, a three-column megamenu will appear. Everything works exactly how I would like it except that, as you will see, rather than providing a line line of menu options after menu number 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, etc it is throwin the new line in after numbers 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, and 16. I’ve checked the menu structure, etc and quite simply, cannot find that I have done anything different on these options.

I’d love your advice on what you think might be happening here.

I’m using WordPress 4.1 and X version 2.4.0 – not sure how to update to 3.0

Hi there,
Please add the following CSS code under Customize -> Custom -> CSS:

.x-navbar .sub-menu li:after {
background-color: transparent;
}

Actually, have now found a pattern.

If I create the megamenu as a col-3 menu, I get one line of three menus and then what appears to four per line, with the fourth item wrapping on to the next line. This results in:

3 items
3 items
1 item (presumably wrapped)
3 items
1 item (presumably wrapped)
etc

When I convert it to a col-2 menu, I get two items on the first line and then what appears to be three on the next line with one wrapped, resulting in:

2 items
2 items
1 item (presumably wrapped)
2 items
1 item (presumably wrapped)
etc.

I have rebuilt the menu from scratch and I am getting the same behaviours with the second version.

I’m sorry but I don’t really understand about the problem you are experiencing, Can you please provide a screenshot with illustration of the problem?

I checked your mega menu navigation and can’t find anything weird about it,

Additionally, I noticed you are using older version of X theme and X shortcode, please update them to the latest version, you can check the latest version from here -> https://theme.co/x/member/changelog/ and follow the update guide from here -> https://theme.co/x/member/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/

As you can see, the first two lines (Business Insurance -> Digital Printing) work fine. I would expect the next line to be Fuels and Lubricants, Income Protection Insurance and Mobile Phone Diversions. Instead, I get Fuels and Lubricants by itself with the other two items landing on a new line with an additional menu group. This behaviour is repeated for ensuing lines.

This particular screen shot was created on Chrome but the same behaviour is repeated with other browsers (Safari, Opera, Firefox). Interestingly, this behaviour is not only displayed when I visit the web site but also in the X Customiser Live Preview.

Please add the code below in your Appearance > Customize > Custom > CSS

.desktop .x-nav .x-megamenu.col-3>.sub-menu>li:nth-child(4n) {
clear: none;
}

If that doesn’t help, please give us access to your WordPress admin
