Also, is it possible to get a search function on this forum? Looking for the answer through several pages of forum responses is a bit tedious in comparison to just searching for an answer to a question someone may have already asked.

We are definitely working on getting a search feature implemented. Our big push right now is the v.1.5.0 release slated to come out in the next few days. Once that is off our table, we’ll be able to focus a little more attention on some of these non-theme related tasks.

Could you please provide us with a link to your site so that we can see this? If you have selected fullwidth in both places, you should definitely not be seeing an empty space. Let us know when you have the chance.

Main version is loaded now, and works fine other than a few things I haven’t figured out. If I don’t need a child theme to keep simple changes (colors, logo, links, header, etc. then I won’t worry about the child theme).

1.) The main video is slow as molasses when loading. I might have to take it off the site completely.

2.) When I change the color of the main area, it doesn’t change the internal color as well, meaning I have off white background and a pure white content box area.

3.) I copy/pasted text from the demo (Integrity 1) and when I go to edit the text (and then save) the edits don’t show. They’re showing up inside the admin panel in the “write” area, but when I load the site they’re completely missing… still shows the sample text from the demo.

Please ensure you are using the most recent version of the theme (v1.4.0) and the latest child themes. In v1.4.0 we had to update the theme file structure, so the child theme had to be updated, too. Sounds like you might be using an outdated child theme. I assure you they work as they are tested on our development environment and behave perfectly.

Regarding the video, this is something that has more to do with your hosting of the site, where you’re hosting the video, and what browser you’re using. More modern browsers will render the video better than older ones, and depending on your hosting plan, this can slow down how quickly your site loads. X is built for performance first, and everything is included and used in the most performant manner possible. Of course, there is always room for improvement, but my guess is that this has more to do with hosting than anything. Due to WordPress’ dynamic nature, it requires a slightly more robust host to handle everything smoothly. If you are using a shared host, this is likely a big cause of the issue.

I’m not completely following your third point, could you elaborate some more, or perhaps take a screenshot and share it via a link using a service like Dropbox?

No changes made… that’s just how it looks.

When did you last download the child themes? I have just checked again and I can assure you they work. Additionally, I have helped numerous people setup child theme installations this week and it has worked just fine.

Also, if you are using Integrity, you must ensure that you are not only using the right child theme for the correct Stack, but also the correct style (light or dark).

The most current version of the child theme should have an @import statement inside of it that looks like so:

@import url( '../x/framework/css/site/stacks/integrity-light.css' );

What about that issue with the color change… did you get those screenshots? Is there a way to change that relatively easily?

You mentioned earlier that #2 was fixed. That appears to be the only question I see regarding colors. Is there something else I missed?
