When I want to validate and enter the API key, I get this message:
“Could not establish connection. Please ensure your firewall is not blocking request to theme.co”

I don’t know what to do. Can you please help me.

Thanks for writing in! Please contact your hosting provider and make sure that your server environment is not blocking your connection to “theme.co” by checking the firewall settings.

Another possible issue is that your site has not properly configured CURL which is required for HTTP requests to Theme.co. Basically ask them to check CURL & OpenSSL.

I got a problem when trying to submit the API key into my wordpress.

It’s always be like this “Could not establish connection. Please ensure your firewall is not blocking requests to theme.co”.

I’ve contacted my hosting provider, and they said that:
– theme.co is not blocked,
– allow_url_fopen is on,
– cURL support is enabled,
– OpenSSL support is enabled.

I’m running on php version 5.4.35.

Could you help me please to submit my API? or can you specify what should my provider do with the configurations?

It looks like your host has hard time resolving on theme.co. Maybe It’s DNS configuration related. Can you ask your hosting provider to restart/reboot your server or apache?

It looks like I missed one point, it’s https.
Mine, was not active, but after my provider activated the SSL certificate and server private key, I can use my API. So, only with encrypted password transmission the API can be accessed.

these are the points that need to be considered:
– theme.co should not blocked,
– allow_url_fopen should on,
– cURL support should enabled,
– OpenSSL support should enabled,
– secure connection (https) should enabled.
