Hi,
We’d like to remove completely the provided version of Visual Composer to use the native WPBakery release. We use the popular extension Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer (UA4VC) and the features it provides gives an additional layer of control on visual design that isn’t compatible with X.
I believe I’ve seen an option somewhere to disable it but I can seem to be able to find it again. A search on the forum only taught me how to re-add modules that were removed, but I haven’t found a thread talking about removing it completely.
Thank you for your help!
Sincerely,
BBCOctober 29, 2014 at 12:33 pm #134535I have tried to rename the folder “vc_templates” to “vc_templates_old” and remove the X-Shortcodes plugin, but I still experience issues with the native Visual Composer version and its extensions.
Any clues as to what could be left of your modded VC version would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Thanks for posting in.
You can remove it completely by ftp, and upload your version of visual composer. There is no guarantee that uploading your own visual composer will work. If you wish to completely remove integration for X shortcodes to visual composer, you can edit this file.
wp-content ▸ themes ▸ x ▸ framework ▸ functions ▸ global ▸ admin ▸ visual-composer.php
And remove the entire content/code.
Then delete this folder
wp-content ▸ themes ▸ x ▸ vc_templates
Thanks!
