Hello,
Since upgrading to 4.7 I have noticed our server is peaking out all the time. it appears that the admin-ajax.php is getting called 3 times a second regardless of if we are logged into the admin or not.
I have installed the hearbeat plugin but it doesnt seem to be working and i have an error in the Query Plugin that says:(Broken Dependencies | wp-auth-check | /wp-includes/js/wp-auth-check.min.js | heartbeat (missing))
the only way i can bring the load back off the server is to set the permissions on the admin-ajax file to 0000.
A server technician said it could be the theme but how can i tell?

Hello – found the problem… it is a bot called +http://www.baidu.com/search/spider.html Have blocked the IP addresses and is fine.
