Hello!
Is there a way to completely remove the X Theme branding?
As in removing the theme name in the Appearances section

Also in the updates?

Are there any other areas Iā€™m missing?

The logo you see in Appearance > Themes section can be changed from the root directory of X Theme folder. However, before replacing the logo image I suggest you to install and setup child theme. You can use following resources to download and setup child theme.

Please take a look at following article to setup child theme:

After that you can replace the logo image by placing the new logo file screenshot.png.

Regarding the changes you are looking for in update notice message, unfortunately that falls outside the scope of support we can offer.
