This article will cover the various options provided by the WordPress Customizer for BuddyPress.
Make sure you are in the Customizer and then click on BuddyPress

Note that the BuddyPress options won't show in the Customizer, if BuddyPress isn't installed.
Once you've clicked on BuddyPress, you should see the available BuddyPress options like this:

We'll cover the options one by one.
Layout
The first option is for the Content Layout, which has two options, Global Content Layout or Fullwidth:

If we set the content layout, to global, it will use the content layout you set under Layout and Design in the Customizer and so would retain the sidebar for example if one was set, so choosing that option would make our BuddyPress pages display, if we set the layout to Fullwidth, our BuddyPress page would look like this:

Navbar Menu
The next option provided is the Navbar menu, this has a On or Off value.

Setting the navbar menu to On will add a new menu item to our Navbar which contains all BuddyPress menu items as a main menu item and sub nav menu items like this:

When we then hover over that menu item, it shows our sub nav menu items like this:

If we set the Navbar menu to Off, we'll see the additional menu item no longer shows like this:

Component Titles
The next available option is to set the component titles, these are used in breadcrumbs and sometimes on the actual pages themselves, they are also used in the Navbar menu dropdown, remember the "sites title" option will only actually show on a WordPress Multisite install.

The available component titles are:
- Activity Title
- Groups Title
- Sites Title
- Members Title
- Register Title
- Activate Ttitle
Once you've set your Component titles, you'll see them in the Navbar dropdown as mentioned previously, like this:

Component Subtitles
The next and last available options for BuddyPress in the customizer are for the component subtitles. These are used in breadcrumbs and sometimes on the actual pages themselves. Remember the Sites Subtitle option will only actually show on a WordPress Multisite install.

The available component subtitles are:
- Activity Subtitle
- Groups Subtitle
- Sites Subtitle
- Members Subtitle
- Register Subtitle
- Activate Subtitle
Congrats! After reading this article, you should now have a better understanding of the various BuddyPress options provided by the customizer.
